On May 30, 2025, British comedian and actor Russell Brand appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London, where he pleaded not guilty to five charges of sexual offenses involving four women. The alleged incidents occurred between 1999 and 2005 and include one count each of rape, oral rape, indecent assault, and two counts of sexual assault. Brand has consistently denied the allegations since they surfaced in 2023 following a joint investigation by The Sunday Times and Channel 4’s Dispatches. The trial is scheduled to commence on June 3, 2026, and is expected to last four to five weeks.
