Definition of reactive oxygen species

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are free radicals and ions that are highly reactive. In their outer orbit, they contain chemicals with unpaired electrons and atoms. ROS are the free radicals that contain molecules of oxygen while free radicals no not have oxygen.
